Harkening back to a time when hurricanes are given only numbers and not names, we will review the storm that became known as The Gale of 1878. I often look at the events that I cover as events that have helped shape Delmarva as we know it, but that normally deals with how it impacted individual families and the community emotions see, thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs.
